Port Vila Green Confederation Councilor Kalo Seule witnesses Villagers from his own Island return home after spending nearly two months in Port Vila after being evacuated after Cyclone Pam destroyed Mataso Island.
Mr. Seule who has financed most of the operations to get people from his Island to Efate, now farewells their return to Mataso Island.
The 56 islanders who have returned also included old people, children, and two disability kids.

Mr. Seule says “we have built shelters on the Island for their return, and the NDMO has paid for Iron Roofing for all their homes lost on Mataso so it is a plus to all the effort put in by the Villagers themselves”
“It is a big relief to finally get these people home, when the cyclone came they hid inside rocks, and caves”
“I thank everyone for all the support to the people of Mataso, and thank the Government for supporting us with transportation especially with the evacuations”
“Mataso has lost everything, but we will rebuild and start again” says Seule.
“The best thing for all the children is they are going back home to attend school and run their life back to normal.
