7 hours without water at the Northern District Hospital

Reports coming in tonight from the Northern District Hospital say there was no water throughout today, Sunday, the 11th of November 2018.

The Luganville water shortage has today left the hospital without water for over 7 hours and continuing.

Further reports say the Hospital was not notified how long the stoppage would last and the lack of water greatly affected the hospital and its patients.

The stoppage began from 12 midday till 7 pm at night, and as YTS was publishing this report, there was still no water at the Hospital.

The Northern District Hospital has no backup or reserve water system in place for emergency’s like this and it is a big issue given the high number of patients at the hospital.
