Oceania Football Confederation reports Vanuatu Bong Kalo will be heading to Switzerland.
The midfielder had trained at Madrid club Leganes for ten days in the hope of securing a contract. He travelled with national coach Moise Poida but his final European destination will be Switzerland.

It seems his Spain trial was not successful but his trip to Europe has not been wasted – with local Vanuatu media claiming Switzerland’s FC Lugano have signed the midfielder.
However, it is not known if he is on a full contract or a trial. OceaniaFC has asked FC Lugano for more details.
Lugano are in the Swiss top division – the Super League – and play regularly against giants such as FC Basel and Young Boys.
Kalo is one of the biggest stars in Oceania football after leading Vanuatu to an historic u20 World Cup in Korea this year.

The midfielder scored three goals for Vanuatu including one against Mexico and two against Germany in a narrow 3-2 defeat for the Oceania nation.
He narrowly missed out on the team of the tournament and was one of the shock stories of the competition, which was eventually won by England.
Kalo had also been linked with clubs in Germany, Italy and Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand in his search for professional football.
