Certificate in Official Statistics

Twelve ni-Vanuatu officials have received New Zealand certificates for their work in a university-level course run in Port Vila by Statistics New Zealand.

The Certificate in Official Statistics gives users of statistics such as planners, policy analysts and managers the tools they need to use data effectively and make better decisions.

The certificates were presented by New Zealand High Commissioner Jonathan Schwass at a ceremony that also involved the course presenters from Statistics New Zealand: Andrew Tideswell, Manager of Statistical Education; and Dr Rosemary Goodyear, Senior Researcher.

The course was funded through the New Zealand aid programme.
