The Vanuatu Courts have ruled that there is a case to answer with the charges against the defendants, former members of Parliament and current members, MP Salwai and MP Seremiah in court, however, the courts also question the facts on the charges.
Court minutes show that Judge Wiltens has considered the case and has stated there are facts that require answers with charges 1 to 10 inclusively.
The courts have given today the 7th of December 2020 for counsels to prepare statements and responses which will submitted on the 8th of December 2020.
Evidence provided by the Public Prosecution remains unchallenged as court will resume tomorrow the 8th of December 2020.
Judge Wiltens has also asked that counsels prepare written or oral statements to be submitted to the courts at 8:30am in the morning.
The minutes also show that the Judge Wiltens is reconsidering the case and also questions whether there are facts to the 10 charges.
The Court case is far from over despite rumours that the charges have been dropped and whether there is a case to answer with all 10 charges remains to be heard.
