Crime prevention tournament in Luganville

A crime prevention tournament in Luganville’s La Place today aims not only to win a nice soccer cup but for police to engage in crime prevention awareness and other social activities with the people.

“We play sport to keep fit, interact with people, showcase our traffic & fire equipments and involve kids whom many times have become victims of crime”, says commander north, Willie Samuel.

In partnership with NZ Police Blue Light , the event is a first time event and they hope to learn from this edition to stage the next one in 2016.

The participating students and schools will leave the tournament with memories – they keep the crime prevention printed Tshirts and each player receives a bag with schoool materials inside and a lunch box etc… courtesy from Blue Light Police in NZ.
