Sixty-one students from two secondary schools in Port Vila have just finished an Australian Government funded Cyber Safety and Healthy Relationships program.
The Cyber Safety and Healthy Relationships curriculum aims to reduce the level of social tolerance towards gender-based violence in Ni-Vanuatu adolescents as well as equipping them with the skills to develop and maintain healthy relationships throughout their lives.
The weekly sessions specifically address issues such as how to be safe online and how to be positive citizens when using technology via smartphones and social media.
Funded by the Australian Government the program is part of World Visions “It Takes a World to end violence against Children campaign.”
The program will expand next year and aims to capture more youths in Vanuatu.
