Dezine the famous Solomon Island artists will be performing at the Port Vila Municipal stadium on 30th may 2015 to raise fund for victims of Pam.
The “Denzin live concert in aid for TC Pam relief”‘ is organised by the Solomon island community in Vanuatu and will be the second music festival after ‘Givhan’.
The Chairman of the organising committee, Mr. Ray Mona from Solomon Islands said the purpose for this concert is to raise funds for the Melanesian brothers who are suffering because of cyclone Pam.
Denzine arrived at Bauerfield in Port Vila on Tuesday this week and were welcomed by community of Solomon Islands in Port Villa in a ceremony at the residence of the president, Mr velix Laumae.
The president of the community thank the musician for coming over to support in effort to recover Vanuatu after cyclone Pam.
National Disaster Management office (NDMO) are also giving the Solomon Islands community their support for the concert.
Santo and Tanna will be the next stop for the band after concert in Port Villa, but also looking to perform in other parts of Vanuatu affected by Pam, not only to raise funds but to help lift their morals.
The chairman of the organising committee confirms Dezine band will be in the country until 16th of June.
During the concert, the Vanuatu local bands performing are Brata Cloud from Santo and Z1 – formerly known as Naio Band who will also be the backing up Denzine and the show will feature Suzana Bakokoto.
The entrance fee is 500vt for adults and tickets will be available tomorrow Friday 22nd May or people can contact Ray Mona on 54785478 or Jerry at 5686443; there will be T-shirts and food on sale during the concert.
