DPM signs Right To Information Order for Government Ministries

The Acting Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Bob Loughman, has signed the 2nd order of ‘Right To Information’ for the Vanuatu Government.

The 2nd order gives the Vanuatu people rights to know what is happening with the Vanuatu Government and what they are doing in the different Ministries.

The 2nd order gives people the right to know about what the Ministries, the Director Generals, Directors, and the employees of the Public Service are doing.

The 2nd order extends to people having the right to know about Ministerial budgets and how they are spent.

Given the importance of transparency and accountability in the Public Sector, the Vanuatu Government has announced the 2nd order applies to all sectors in the Public Service.
