ATHLETICS Fiji chief development officer Joe Rodan Jr believes Team Fiji Athletics will do well in the Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu in December.
He made the comment after Athletics Fiji conducted another round of competition at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, yesterday.
He commended the performance of athletes and the commitment they had shown prior to the games.
“We had a good turnout by those who are in the national team and also by those who are on the reserve list for the Pacific Mini Games,” Rodan said.

“The track athletes clocked impressive times while running against strong wind.
“In the 200 metres, we had Aaron Powell, Shane Tuvusa and Francis Kirikirikula, who all did well. We are happy with the outcome.
“In the long jump, Eugene Vollmer and Sireli Bulivorovoro were also very impressive.”
He said the athletes would give their best in the games.
“We have seven weeks to go for the start of athletics at the games and we are on track. In the girls competition, we had impressive runs by Makereta Naulu and Elenani Tinai in the 200 metres and also from Elenoa Sailosi.”
The Pacific Mini Games will be held from December 4-15.
