Intan Jaya TGPF members who were shot were evacuated to Jakarta

A member of the Joint Fact Finding Team (TGPF) for the Intan Jaya case in Papua, who was injured in the shooting during investigation in Intan Jaya has been evacuated to Jakarta.

“TGPF members and TNI members who were injured in the attack on Friday afternoon were evacuated to Jakarta for further medical treatment,” Sugeng said in writing from Jayapura yesterday (10/10).

Sugeng, who is a Deputy of Law and Human Rights at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, explained that the two victims were evacuated using the Indonesian Air Force Caracal helicopter from Intan Jaya at seven yesterday morning to Timika.

From there, they were moved to a Boeing Air Force plane at Timika airport and at 08.22 WIT transited to an Air Force plane headed for Jakarta on the Timika-Hasanuddin-Jakarta route.
