The people of South Santo are expecting better road to transport their produces to Luganville commercial center, after the launching of the 66 kilometres of sealed road from Sarakata to the end of the existing gravel road at Tasiriki point this week.

The project under the name ‘Vanuatu Climate Resilient Transport Project’ and is funded by World Bank in stages.
South Santo is well known for supplying agricultural produce to Luganville contributing to the local economy, and the road will boost other sectors like tourism.
