Lord Mayor Signs Two Year Agreement with Yumi Toktok Stret

In a simple ceremny witnessed by PVMC staff and YTS staff, Port Vila Mayor Ulrich Sumtho signed a two year agreement with Yumi Toktok Stret to produce the PVMC News Monthly Newsletter.

The signing also see PVMC partner with Vanuatu’ biggest socila media group, YTS to run consultatins and awareness throught the YTS Forum, the YTS Newspaper, the YTS website and blogs sites.

The Agreement has seen the PVMC Newsletter re-deisgned and standardized to Newspaper format by YTS. The 10 page Newsletter will be a monthly issue printed, supplied and distributed by Yumi Toktok Stret Newspaper, and will be a monthly insert into the Yumi Toktok Stret Newspaper.

The Agreement also paves way for YTS to design and print the 30th Independence Program Booklet.

 

A lot of Ni-Vans around the World are connected to Vanuatu daily through the Yumi Toktok Stret forum. The forum has recently witnessed the PVMC Mayor, Ulrich Sumptho, whilst in Thailand answer concerns to PVMC community’s regarding the Fres Wota Park and Market House issue.
Mayor Sumptho says ‘the public need to have good information and the PVMC is weak in its Public Relations but hopes this agreements does strengthen this area.

The Agreement will see PVMC supply content and images but also allows YTS a presence in the Council to report on Council Meetings and other developments PVMC enters.

Town Clerk Ronald Sandy says ‘PVMC have been thinking about this for a while but have now sealed the agreement and will see the YTS prduce the Newsletter for us’
The Agreement is for 2 years and PVMC cover their own printing cost r any expense related to printing the Newsletter or Indpendence Program Booklet. The Yumi Toktok Stret team is also loking to a similar deal for Luganville.
