MasterCard and UN doing Consultations with Vanuatu Women on Digital Payment Acceptance

Mastercard and UN Women Pacific are doing consultations through UN Women Market4Change project this week in Vanuatu and Fiji.

The aim of UN Women involving MasterCard is to strengthen information sector with product innovation, business efficiency and digital payment acceptance.

In 2016, MasterCard and UN Women  signed a Memorandum of Understanding to address this imbalance and advance gender equality and women’s economic empowerment and the first initiative in this relationship is the launch of a pilot in Nigeria.

One of UN Women’s main objectives is to increase women’s economic empowerment and working with MasterCard will help pave the way to economic freedom and financial inclusion for women
