Jakarta – Indonesian Ambassador to Australia-Vanuatu H.E Kristiarto Legowo, introduces himself to Indonesian society residing in Canberra, Australia. In front of the people of Indonesia, Kristiarto promised to improve bilateral relations between the two countries.
Kristiarto’s self-introduction ceremony took place at Balai Kartini, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (Embassy), Canberra, Friday (16/06/2017) and was attended by more than 300 Indonesians from various backgrounds, ranging from community and religious leaders, lecturers, to TNI As well as Indonesian diplomats. Kristiarto calls this a reflection of the cohesiveness of Indonesian citizens in Australia.
“Let us continue to knit the sense of unity among the Indonesian community as it becomes very important as a manifestation of the practice of Pancasila I am proud that Indonesian citizens in Australia have been proven to be examples of good and strong unity and unity,” Ambassador Kristiarto said in his speech.

Kristiarto also wants to provide optimal service to Indonesian citizens in Australia. During his tenure, he will guard and fight for the sovereignty of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The remarks of Ambassador Kristiarto received positive response from Indonesian citizens who attended. Chairman of the Australian-Indonesian Student Association (PPIA) Australia Muhammad Fatah admitted very happy for the presence of Ambassador who has a lot of experience handling Australia.
“I am convinced that with previous experience, among others, as Deputy Ambassador of Indonesia in Australia more than 10 years ago, Ambassador Kristiarto will be able to show good performance and beneficial to both countries,” said Fatah, a student from Aceh.
The introduction of Indonesian Ambassador with Indonesian Citizen was also enlivened by music performance from Melrose High School and Canberra College. The event was previously opened by the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia Derry Aman.
