The Office of the President of the Republic of Vanuatu has issued a press statement refuting media claims that the President of Vanuatu asked the American Government to set up a military base in Vanuatu.
The Presidents Office refute’s Daily Post Newspaper headlines about the President of Vanuatu asking the American Government to set up a military base in Vanuatu and say ‘the President has acknowledged America’s contribution to Vanuatu since World War II and has also asked that America think about setting up a diplomatic mission in Vanuatu.”
