The Department of Agriculture said in a posted statement that “the main objective of this workshop is to support skills and knowledge development to increase practical capacity and ability of staff working in national Codex systems to operate successfully in the Codex international standard setting environment.”
“It is also an occasion to discuss matters of interest to the region ahead of the next FAO/WHO coordinator committee session and to provide input from the region to the 2020 – 2025 Codex Strategic Plan.”
