Mark the ‘Storm Hunter’ on his way to Vanuatu

Mark Robinson well-known severe weather expert, educator and stormchaser based out of Toronto in Canada, tweets on his way to Vanuatu, this week.

Mark Robinson is a storm chaser and meteorologist, was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Explorers by Canadian Geographic. He’s chased countless ice storms. blizzards and snowstorms since his career began in 2005 — plus hurricanes Katrina, Ike and Sandy — co-hosts Stormhunters and hosts Unearthed for The Weather Network.

A sought-after speaker, helping Canadian producers understand how weather trends and forecasts could impact their operations. He’s also active on social media and has more than 18,000 followers for his Twitter account, @StormhunterTWN.

Mark will be descending the Marum volcano crater with film maker Geoff Mackley and another Canadian adventurer and storm chaser George Kourounis who specializes in documenting extreme weather and worldwide natural disasters.

He is also looking to talk to people on the islands about climate change.
