Summit Vanuatu among 4 Pacific Companies eye on NZ Market

FOUR Pacific companies, two of which are from Fiji, are exhibiting their products at the Auckland’s Spring Gift and Homeware Fair which ends today.

Fiji Times reports that the Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) New Zealand invited Fijian natural beauty products specialist companies, Essence of Fiji and Natural Fiji with Cook Islands’ Kora Pearls and The Summit from Vanuatu.

The trade-only fair is aimed at trade buyers seeking products ready for the Christmas retail rush and it attracts thousands of visitors from a wide range of businesses throughout New Zealand in gifts, pharmacies, interior design and homeware.

Essence of Fiji, a spa and beauty company owned by Debra Sadranu, offers a quality range of natural skincare, body lotions, oils, gels and soaps for women and men made from local resources including coconut, seaweed, frangipani and papaya.

The company’s products may be new in New Zealand, but have an established following in Fiji and among overseas travellers who have visited its Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre/Transit Lounge at the Nadi International Airport in Fiji.

“Thus, making our presence at the fair an ideal opportunity for retailers looking for unique affordable gift ideas,” Mrs Sadranu said.

She developed Essence of Fiji for her training school and spa chain Senikai Spas and started manufacturing the range 15 years ago, aimed primarily at tourists.

Mrs Sadranu developed Essence of Fiji using local marine and plant extracts with “a number of healing and beneficial properties for total skin rejuvenation”.

Its rejuvenation centre transit Lounge in Nadi is also very popular with international travellers on TripAdvisor — one of the world’s largest travel review sites, and an impressive 164 of 169 Trip Advisor reviews ratings were “Excellent” or “Very Good”.

Essence of Fiji uses natural ingredients and its products are natural with no additives; no parabens; no chemicals and no synthetics.

Essential oils and extracts from plants such as frangipani and papaya gives the product its natural fragrant scent while maintaining the properties that promote healthful, youthful skin.

PTI NZ, in last week’s edition of its Pacific Periscope, had said the natural beauty products of Essence of Fiji could be on Kiwi Christmas gift lists if they were successful at the Auckland fair.
