The New Zealand High Commissioner, Georgina Roberts will join the Vanuatu government, Oxfam and UNICEF to officially launchTC Pam WASH recovery projects on Laman island on Epi on, Thursday 31st August 2017.
The TC Pam WASH recovery project benefits the communities by providing water and sanitation projects such as VIP toilet projects, hand dug wells, hand pumps and upgraded rain water harvesting systems.
New Zealand has inserted a NZD 2.5 million package of assistance into the TC Pam recovery project in affected communities in Tafea and Shefa provinces.
Georgina Roberts and the delegation leaving tomorrow, Thursday 31st of August 2017, will also visit Epi High School, where 2 VIP toilets and a hand dug well was built under this project.
Also included in the delegation is minister of Lands, Ralph Regenvanu, UNICEF Chief of Vanuatu chief Office, Andrew Parker, and Oxfam CD, Elizabeth Faerula.
The handing over ceremonies and formalities begins at 9am.
