Tensions rise over discriminating rap song

The Tanna community in Port Vila are not at all happy over a rap song recorded by 3 Seaside Youths who were said to be under the influence of marijuana.

The very discriminatory rap lyrics targets the Tanna Community and has triggered unrest amongst the local Tanna population residing in Port Vila.

Tanna chiefs have been in contact with the Police and are speaking to their people to remain calm.

Hundreds gathered at blacksands today during a planned meeting between the two communities, but due to security reasons, the meeting has been postponed to tomorrow.

Arrangements for a peace ceremony to take place is under way and all efforts to bring peace to the communities is being facilitated by the Vanuatu Police Force.
