Vanuatu gearing up for COP23 in Germany

Vanuatu is currently preparing for the 23rd Conference of the Parties (COP23) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held from 6 – 17th November in Bonn, Germany.

The Republic of Fiji will Preside over the negotiations, making this year the first ever “Pacific COP”.

Vanuatu is ready to stand with our Pacific brothers and sisters to demonstrate the fierce resilience of our region, even in the face of our extreme vulnerabilities.

This Forum is an opportunity for people to hear about MOCC’s work throughout 2017, to learn about the issues that will be negotiated at COP23, and to receive short updates on several key climate issues for Vanuatu.

Most importantly, the Forum is a chance for the public to ask Vanuatu’s COP23 Delegation questions, and to share their own stories about living with and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
