The Vanuatu Made Week showcasing locally made products is launching today at the Feiawa seafront park in Port Vila.

The event is organised by the Department of Industry to promote value-added products and to recognize the contributions of local producers to the local economy.

Events Coordinator, Ian Bani of the Department of industry talks about what to expect on Vanuatu Made week.

The week-long event with the theme ‘Growing our competitive advantage through Branding’ will see for the first time the official launching of Vanuatu Brand which is a very important for the Vanuatu Government to secure Vanuatu products and associate Intellectual Property.

Vanuatu Made Week committee members after their show on Capital FM 107 with Moses Stevens and Former President of the Republic Mr. Ati George Sokomanu.

There has been a lot of promotions by awareness and talk-back shows on the radio to schools.

The long week event opening will start with a parade through town starting at Moorings junction and there will be food stalls at Feiawa Park selling locally grown cooked food.

The public is encouraged to engage with the event and witness the official launching of Vanuatu Made Brands.
