Wrongful Imprisonment lawsuit filed against John Tonner

A claim for damages has been filed in court for unlawful imprisonment as a result of an urgent application and undertaking by John Brian Tonner.

On or about 14th August 2019, the Defendants, in this case, filed the court documents in the Supreme Court Civil Case 19/2114.

The urgent application was supported by a Sworn Statement from John Brian Tonner.

The Claimant as one of the business user of the business name Yumi Toktok Stret resigned as a business user and owner of Yumi Toktok Stret on the 12th of June 2017.

After resigning the Claimant started his own business and has no authority over the business name Yumi Toktok Stret.

The claimants spent 4 days in prison and judges against him were withdrawn from the case when his lawyers told the Judge, the Claimant is not a business user and owner of Yumi Toktok Stret and that the Claimant was not the person who authorize the publication of the news articles.

It is believed lawyers representing John Tonner used newspaper articles as the basis to identifying the owners of YTS which is currently registered as Yumi Toktok Stret Ltd and the owners are Julian Ligo and Matt Temar since November 2019.

Another lawsuit by Mr. Ligo who was also imprisoned is expected to follow soon.
